A two hour mend in a public workshop where we learn about the technique of Godhadi Making. Godhadi making is an age-old practice of converting old clothes into quilts practised in many parts of India. Born out of households where resources are scarce and limited, the practice even today reflects many realities of Indian society.

The intention of this workshop is to look closely within our neighbourhoods to find practices which are relevant yet deemed unimportant, that are mindful yet diminishing, that are accessible yet we are hunting for solutions elsewhere. We will be exploring the technique, and discussing how fashion acts as a critical component in community building, and how we choose to engage with it in our personal lives.

Calling people from diverse backgrounds who are interested in exploring art, culture, everyday practices, the city and its people.

What this workshop is not? A lecture, a teacher and learner based information transfer, a stitching class, a craft training or skill building workshop
