In 2024 join the pledge to buy #NoMorePolyester! It’s a tough challenge – polyester is everywhere – but the era of plastic clothing needs to end and together we can help reduce polyester consumption and production.
By signing up for the challenge you’ll be joining a Canada-wide campaign standing against fossil fuel fashion.
Phasing out all fossil fuels and transitioning to renewable energy sources is essential to limit global heating to 1.5°C. And as the world’s 4th largest producer of crude oil and 11th largest emitter of greenhouse gases per capita, Canada has a major role to play.
The #NoMorePolyester campaign aims to inform consumer citizens about the connection between crude oil and our closets: a now ubiquitous group of synthetic fabrics that includes polyester. Individually and collectively we must take action to end the exorbitant production and consumption of fossil fuels for fashion.
We have a thriving team of volunteers and would love to have you join us: join our national teams and research policy, build brand relationships, or fundraise; become a student ambassador at your university, college, or high school; or start or support a local Fashion Revolution group in your city.
Stay up to date on our campaigns, events happening near you, and sustainable fashion news. We’re on social media as @Fash_RevCan or you can sign up for our newsletter!
Fashion Revolution Canada works with around 100 volunteers to build community, host events, and distill important topics.
