Welcome to Fashion Revolution Malta!
Fashion Revolution Malta is part of the global movement working for a cleaner, safer, and fairer fashion industry. We want to see the sustainable fashion community on our islands grow by better understanding the impact fashion has on people and the planet, and how our choices can make a difference.
We believe that by working together locally, we can contribute to change, not only in global systems but also in Malta. Our team is focused on practical actions and building strong relationships with designers, businesses, community groups, and government leaders.
What We Focus On -key areas to help create a sustainable fashion system here in Malta:
- Education and Community: Through events, workshops, talks, and forums, our goal is to share both knowledge and practical skills—like mending and upcycling—to empower our community.
- Tackling Waste: We champion reuse and a circular economy, promoting better ways to manage end-of-life clothing and textiles to reduce the volume of textile waste heading for our already over-capacity landfills.
- Good Governance: We build relationships and communication streams with policymakers and governing bodies to push for regulation and transparency within the local fashion industry.
