Nestan Rysbekova

Currently, Nestan is a master’s student of the Sustainable Development program at the University of Milan.
Nestan was born and raised in Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek). From early childhood she dreamed about becoming a fashion designer. However, due to some life circumstances, she decided to graduate a Law School, where she started to be curious about sustainability issues on the local and international levels. Thus, during the senior year of bachelor’s studies, she has started working for international organizations and institutions. This experience gave her solid knowledge in operations, project & product management, and HR departments. So, the childhood dream complimenting her experience in the sustainability field led her to become a part of the Fashion Revolution Kazakhstan. The reality of the social, environmental, and economic impact of the fashion industry that’s what concerns her.

She believes that the transformation of industry is possible here and now. Therefore, Nestan is ready to make the Fashion Revolution in Kazakhstan happen!
