Molly Keogh
Molly Keogh is the co-founder and COO of Osei-Duro. She has a BA in Fashion Design from the California College of the Arts, and an MA in African Studies from Indiana University. She worked as a fashion stylist and costume fabricator in Los Angeles before starting Osei-Duro in 2011 with her partner Maryanne Mathias. Having pioneered the use of West African batik on fabrics like silk and rayon, Osei-Duro continues to develop new and hybrid materials. The designers prioritize social responsibility and transparency in their projects, working collaboratively with a wide range of artisans, designers and fine artists. They believe that economic and environmental sustainability are intrinsically linked. As much as possible Osei-Duro sources materials in Ghana; both reducing carbon footprint and supporting local textile producers. The brand works towards a vibrant local fashion industry wherever they are, one that respects the rights and aesthetics of local makers.
