Bisheshta Shrestha
Bisheshta returned to Nepal in 2019 after completing her Masters degree in Thailand. After being involved in the development sector since 2015, she has finally established her own Social Enterprise venture, which focuses on eliminating plastics from every individual’s day-to-day lives by upcycling and recycling existing waste. Alongside this she has also established a research company along with her other two co-founders, where they focus on conducting feministic, gender, inclusion and various other kinds of research. She has also conducted events in Kathmandu such as “Sustainable Night Market” and “Secret Feminist Gathering”.
“What people need to realise is that we (consumers) control the demand and supply chain of major industries. By learning more about the company’s waste management system, their contribution to the pollution of resources we should as a consumer impose on the companies to be more responsible by controlling the demand chain. We have the power and not the them!” Bisheshta Shrestha
