Aigerim Akenova

Aigerim is a multidisciplinary artist & designer working in fashion, textile and narrative design. She is an active advocate for sustainability in fashion & textile industries in Kazakhstan, specifically with a focus on the 12th Goal of UN SDGs. He brand AIKEN is pioneering in establishing a sustainable business model in her country which lately led to a tight partnership with UNDP Kazakhstan. Her creative works were commissioned by state and private entities and succeeded internationally. Aigerim has gained her MA in New Tech.Style Design in Politecnico di Milano, BA in Fashion & Textile Design in IED Milano and degree in Fashion Design FIDM Los Angeles and extensive professional experience across Europe, USA, Middle East and Central Asia. She is passionate about bringing fashion into a sustainable future working alongside a team of professionals and like-minded people. Aigerim is a founder of  fashion brand AIKEN and a founder of consultancy company TEXSPIRE which aims to launch sustainable textiles.
