This year on Saturday, April 20, Fashion Revolution country teams will take to the streets, parks, and shopping centres for Mend In Public Day.
This is a global where amidst daily lives we will repair our torn pockets and holey socks 🧦 , embellish existing garments and reattach buttons, resize, repair and sew up torn seams 🧵 so our clothes can be worn for years to come. At Mend in Public Day Harare we will also have stations for mending accessories (jewellery), and while we mend we will spark conversations about the importance of sustainability in fashion; an opportunity for collective resistance against disposable fashion!
