People all over the world will host and/or attend their own swaps and document their events across the week. Fashion Revolution and GFX will provide how to guides, promotional tools, advice, and support along the way. All swapping events can be uploaded to our dedicated Swap Map in the run up and events will be live tracked across the week using the hashtags #fashionrevolution and #clothesswap. As a movement, we will aim to highlight the benefits of swapping for people and planet and answer the tricky questions that come along with it.
You can host in your living room, your office, in your local community centre or a public event space. You can invite friends, enemies, colleagues or open it up to members of the public. The possibilities are endless. If you do decide to host, make sure you register your swap and download our hosting pack which is full of hosting goodies to help you on your way.

We want to change how people think and feel about their clothes and how they engage with their wardrobes. Consumption and waste are huge issues within the current fashion industry and we believe we have the power to change that.
Did you know: Extending the life of clothing by nine months can reduce carbon, waste and water footprints by 20-30%. Thats huge! Swapping is the future, promise.
Of course! We want to make this the largest global clothes swap ever and that means everyone is invited. Register your interest in the sign up form below or keep an eye out for the Swap Map and add your event for everyone to see. If you want to start planning, all we ask is to make sure your swap falls during Fashion Revolution Week which is the 20th to the 26th of April 2020.
It’s time for a Fashion Revolution. Swapping clothes is good for your wardrobe, your wallet and the planet. We all know that but it’s time to show the rest of the world the power of the swap. By joining together, we hope to make enough noise that the whole planet listens. As a united movement, we will aim to highlight the benefits of swapping for people and planet and answer the tricky questions that come along with it.
Fashion Revolution Week is our key campaign week in April, which falls on the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, which killed 1138 people and injured many more on 24th April 2013. That is the day Fashion Revolution was born. The current fashion system is fragmented, opaque and built upon the exploitation of resources and of people. We need to rethink how that industry works. We need to rethink the model. Read the Fashion Revolution Manifesto to see what we believe the industry should look like and why we campaign for change.
