As part of Fashion Revolution Week, Mend in Public Day Iași invites the local community to come together and take action for a more sustainable fashion future.

This global initiative takes place in cities around the world, encouraging people to repair their clothes in public spaces, rethink consumption habits, and reduce textile waste. It sends a clear message: clothes deserve a longer life when they are cared for, repaired, and worn for longer.

The Iași edition is organised by REGINNOVA NE Association and is open to everyone. Participants are encouraged to bring garments from home that need small repairs such as missing buttons, loose hems, torn seams, or items ready for creative upcycling. During the event, they will be able to learn simple mending techniques and discover practical ways to extend the life of their clothes.

Mend in Public Day Iași is both an educational and community event, designed to inspire more conscious fashion choices and celebrate the value of repair, reuse, and creativity.
