April 27 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
Part of Fashion Revolution’s #FashionOpenStudio, a series called NATURAL.
Some say that dyeing naturally is the way to go. Dyeing at home, or with friends, even better…
In this two-part workshop intensive, learn the art of embroidery and natural dye techniques like shibori and resist stitching. You’ll go home with a custom-made, previously unreleased A.BCH tee made of hemp and organic cotton as a blank canvas to co-create a unique (and entirely toxin free) piece of wearable art.
Tamara Leacock of Remuse Designs – voted by Vogue Australia as the designer to watch in the vegan fashion space, our queen of low-impact dye technology, known for her artisan techniques and Afro-futurist aesthetics.
Teslin Doud of The Threads Studio – we call her re-use royalty. A Parsons alumni and creative consultant redefining waste, Tess helped to pioneer the EILEEN FISHER Renew program which is a huge success to this day.
Courtney Holm of A.BCH, our fearless leader, BT emerging designer of the year nominee, pioneering voice of circular fashion and workshop facilitator to a better future.
All experience levels are welcome, no previous dyeing and/ or embroidery skills required. If your knowledge of natural dyes and hemp tees stops at cult-ish Netflix docos, this workshop is for you.
