From Regenerative Farming To Reuse: Approaches To Fashion & Environmental Challenges

Our current pandemic has amplified the fashion industry’s broken model of extreme waste and overproduction. In a time of pause and renewed desire to support one another amid uncertain times, we must instill a culture of clothes keeping and caring.
Consumption levels have reached unsustainable heights and the industry relies on a culture of disposability. Around the world, we produce too much clothing, from unsustainable materials, much of which ends up incinerated or in landfill. In order to combat the climate crisis and protect precious natural resources, we must rethink consumption-as-usual.

Rethink consumption-as-usual in a conversation with the founders of Swap Society, Christy Dawn and Atelier & Repair as they discuss their approaches to circular fashion from regenerating natural systems, designing out waste and pollution, and keeping products and materials in use. This panel will be moderated by the founders of Waste Watch, Bonnie Wright
and Georgia Stockwell.
