On 24 April 2013, The Rana Plaza Building in Bangladesh collapsed, 1138 people died, 2,500 were injured making it the fourth largest industrial disaster in History. 5 garment factories in one building. 1,138 people are too many people to lose in one building, which could lead to exploitation, working in unsafe and dirty conditions. Ironically the majority of people who makes clothes for global market live in poverty. Parongpong collaborates with Fashion Revolution and Beyond Fashion want to help the community to be aware of the importance of sustainable business model in the fashion Industry. To create a fashion industry that values people, the environment, creativity and profit in equal measure. To raise awareness of sustainable business model in Fashion Industry through collaboration and actions as designers, academics, writers, business leaders, policymakers, brands, retailers, marketers, producers, makers, workers, and fashion lovers. We are the industry and we are the public. To help Fashion Industry strike SDG goals and take an action for completely end poverty, take care and protect the environment and ensure international (/bandung) prosperity for all.
