April 27 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm £40.00
A Spring workshop for Women, Connecting to the Elements, Making and Meditating in the tranquil setting of Holdenby Muddy Education centre and enchanting Forest nook.
This is an invitation to come and celebrate Earth day (22nd April) and Spring in full blossom by joining a group of women to honour our natural habitat and make something beautiful. It is always a joy to create together and find connection as we do it, even better!
We will learn how plants & flowers carry their own inks and properties. We will produce a stunning scarf using a bundle dye process. The art of enveloping petals, leaves and found waste materials into organic cloth really is a fascinating process.
Beginning the workshop with Meditation, we will lead into Mindful Foraging to create this stunning piece of wearable Botanical art. The cloth will be bound and steamed transferring the therapeutic properties of the natural inks into the fabric. While the cloth steams, we will create some gentle nourishing movement with our bodies, getting in touch with our connection to the Earth, no previous yoga experience is needed.
You will leave feeling glowy and radiant! Your eco scarf will have a completely unique effect that will carry the qualities of the Earth with you!
You will be provided with:
An organic scarf for you to dye (more available on the day – please bring your own small items of white clothing made from natural fibres should you wish to upcycle)
Guided meditation honouring the Earth
Mini Shakti Yoga session (a therapeutic practice designed for women beginners-advanced. No experience is necessary)
Light Snacks & drinks (you are welcome to bring your lunch on the day for stay for an extra 45 mins to enjoy your picnic as a group)
