Take a look through your closet or your kids’ dress up box for costumes you won’t wear again…because we’re holding a costume swap!
The biggest carbon footprint from Halloween comes from the millions of, poor-quality, plastic, fast fashion costumes that are mass-produced every year. The materials and chemicals used in costumes are materials that don't stop haunting us…they sit in landfills and poison our ecosystems.
Bring in your pre-loved costumes/clothes that are clean and wearable to 192 Spadina Ave. on Thursday October 20th! In addition to the costume section we’ll have a regular swap section at this event!
Register now so you’ll be among the first to be let in! Sold out? Don’t worry, you can still attend, you’ll just have to wait until all the registrants are in. We suggest arriving around 7pm… and don’t forget a $2-$5 donation for the door!
Note: Costumes should be freshly washed with no major tears or stains. Any costumes that are offensive will not be accepted (e.g., cultural stereotypes or body shaming).
